Having been avid photographers for many years, we heard about the Digital Imaging Show run by The Societies, who manage eight internationally recognised photographic organisations focusing on prime services to full-time and aspiring photographers.
We found the Show, that is run in September, which is classed as a mini convention to be a wealth of knowledge with master classes from some of the leading photographers in the county, while also having a trade show with some of the top suppliers in the country and from around the world attending to show their wares to UK photographic market.
At the show John and Michelle Whitmore, who are both established Wedding Photographers, with Michelle being internationally know for her Macro photography, introduced us to some great people both photographers and traders.
Whilst there over the 2 days we were able to attend a number of classes like Working with Models by John Denton FSWPP, Hollywood Glamour by Tom Lee FSWPP and Newborn Photography by Tracy Willis FSWPP which opened our minds up the possibilities of improving our photography.
After this and having spoken to a number of photographers at the Digital Imaging Show, we decided that we would look at getting good training so that we could learn from an established photographer who is actually in the business.
Finding someone who to train you can be a tricky task with some many talented photographers about offering training. After quite a bit of research and speaking to other photographers we decided to approach John Denton Training, who offer a year long mentorship, not just about photography, but also how to get a Photography Business started from the ground up.
This is where we are today and look forward to you following us on our journey.
